1. Prerequisites

Before deploying Mnemose, verify your workstation and Cloudflare account meet the following requirements.

Workstation

ToolVersionPurpose
Node.js22+Package builds, wrangler, seed/verify scripts
pnpm10+Workspace package manager (corepack enable)
git2.30+Clone the repository (with --recurse-submodules)
Pulumi3.xProvision the Cloudflare baseline (D1, R2, KV, Queues, DNS)
Wrangler4.xDeploy Workers, apply D1 migrations (npx wrangler)
Python 33.8+Installer helpers (seed stage KV hydration)

Verify:

Terminal window
node -v && pnpm -v && git --version
pulumi version && npx wrangler --version
python3 --version

Cloudflare account

You need a Cloudflare account with:

  1. A zone for your domain (e.g. mnemose.ai) — DNS records and Workers routes are provisioned against it.
  2. An API token with permissions to manage Workers Scripts, D1, R2, KV, Queues, DNS, and Pages deployments.
  3. Your account ID (Cloudflare dashboard → Workers & Pages → right sidebar).

Export the credentials the installer requires:

Terminal window
export CLOUDFLARE_API_TOKEN=<token>
export CLOUDFLARE_ACCOUNT_ID=<account-id>
export PULUMI_CONFIG_PASSPHRASE=<passphrase> # may be empty, but must be defined

Optional cloud extensions

The Cloudflare baseline is self-sufficient ($0 tier). Multi-cloud extension providers activate only when their flags are set:

ExtensionFlagExtra requirement
GCP--enable-gcpGCP_PROJECT_ID
AWS--enable-awsAWS_ACCOUNT_ID
Tailscale--enable-tailscaleTAILSCALE_TAILNET

These model customer-cloud access paths (WIF, OIDC) and sandbox runners — see infra/providers/.
